General Package Information
Day 1
- Paraitepuy — Rio Tök Campsite (13 km)
We leave from Santa Elena de Uairén or San Francisco de Yuruaní in a rugged 4x4 vehicle toward the "Paraitepuy de Roraima" Indigenous Community. This is the farthest point accessible by 4x4 vehicles, and it's where we begin our 4-hour hike (13 km) to reach the Río Tök Campsite, which is situated at 1,050 meters above sea level.
We'll have time to enjoy the late afternoon with an unparalleled view of the Kukenán and Roraima Tepuis, and we can take a refreshing swim in the waters of the Río Tök. Our specialized Staff will prepare a delicious dinner for us at the campsite.
Day 2
- Río Tök Campsite — Base Camp (11 km)
The next morning, after breakfast, we hike for 4 hours. We will cross two rivers (the Río Tök and the Kukenán River) and gradually ascend across the savannas until reaching the Base Camp at 1,870 m.a.s.l. (meters above sea level).
Here, we will have a closer view of the walls of Mount Roraima. In the late afternoon, we will be able to take beautiful photos of this unique landscape, and you can also cool off in the small river near the campsite.
Day 3
- Base Camp – Roraima Tepui Summit (10 km)
We leave after breakfast and begin the ascent to the southwest wall of the tepui. We will walk through the jungle, navigating roots and loose rocks, and continue the climb up a natural ramp. During this ascent, we must pay attention due to the demanding nature of the path, but our specialized guides will provide all the necessary recommendations.
The vegetation on this day is quite lush, containing various species of endemic plants and birds.
Finally, we will reach the summit of Roraima Tepui at an altitude of 2,750 meters above sea level. For this reason, the temperature drops considerably. Once we arrive at the top, we will have the afternoon to explore the lost world of Roraima. A hot dinner awaits us at the camp.
Day 4
- Roraima Summit Excursion (9 km)
We have the entire day to explore the top and admire the majestic Mount Roraima. We will see thousands of figures in the stones, such as animals and fantasy shapes; it is the closest thing to being on another planet.
On this day, we will visit La Ventana and El Abismo, which offer spectacular views. We will take a comforting dip in the waters of the Natural Jacuzzis, and visit El Maverick (the highest point of the Tepui at 2,810 m.a.s.l.), El Salto Catedral , and the Mirador del Guácharo, which offers a beautiful view of La Gran Sabana.
This entire itinerary is dependent on weather conditions and may be subject to change. In the late afternoon, we will return to the camp.
Day 5
- Roraima Summit — Río Tök Campsite (20 km)
In the morning, we will have the opportunity to take our last photographs on the summit. Today, we will walk for approximately 7 hours and descend from 2,750 to 1,050 meters above sea level.
In the morning, we will descend to Base Camp, where we will have a light lunch with an incredible view of the Tepui wall. We will then continue our hike to the Río Tök Campsite.
We will refresh ourselves in the river, beneath a small waterfall, with a view toward Roraima and Kukenán. We will have dinner at the campsite.
Day 6
